Aliens Vs Predator - Played

Well I've had my gaming socks on for the last few weeks and have just picked up a nice discounted copy of Aliens Vs Predator and what can i say apart form awesome!

This is 3 games in one as you get to play as an Alien, a Predator or a Marine. Each of them truly have their own unique weaponry and abilities and you have to approach each of them differently if you are going to get through.
I have played as all 3 and must say that the Alien is the most fun, especially when you can 'hiss' to lure innocent marines to their death as you wait in the shadows. The graphics are particularly excellent and if you have HD then they are just jaw dropping, taking on an almost 3D look. But the best thing for me is that all the sound effects from the films are there, the rapid blast from your standard issue Pulse Rifle, check, the Alien 'hiss' and breathing, check and the Predator 'clicking' and human voice cloning, check and double check.

The marine missions are actually pretty bloody scary too as you can hear the Predators around you, knowing they are watching you trying to take out the Aliens, there are dark corridors aplenty and like the films, the aliens will burst from every available hole and orifice.

This is really a must have game

Each to their own i guess but i am having a bundle of fun with it. Haven't played the demo so i don't know how restrictive it is but for me it has everything i would be looking for in an Alien Vs Predator game.

Why didn't you enjoy it Aristotle P?

As a fan of the old AVP games I was looking forward to this game. Crap controls, levels are crap. I quit playing after two hours in.

Step forward in graphics, big step back in gameplay. If you want to play a good AVP game, play AVP2 on pc. I'd even rate Alien Trilogy better than this...

I was really looking forward to it too. All my friends were. We played the demo together... and deleted it  immediately after. Big disappointment. Shame they cancelled that Aliens game recently, that was looking great.
