The Simpsons series 2-10 were amongst the best television ever made. Since then I've found it unbearably unfunny. Movie included. I just pretend none of that happened. Something horrible must have gone down behind the scenes.

Yeah the Simpsons Movie was incredibly ill-advised and just not funny, still its a better run than most other series can lay claim to

Buh ... really? Thought the movie was hilarious. Safe, but hilarous. Should have ended the show on that note though.

The Simpsons Movie was as good as Simpsons gets now. Faint praise, but definitely praise. Futurama is better than The Simpsons, but that may just be because there's less of it.

The Simpsons Movie had a handful of funny moments, maybe 5 minutes of good material in the 80, but a 25 minute episode from the good old days often had a laugh every couple of lines.

It was an opportunity to do something special and it ended up being a rehash of jokes from the previous series, still watch the reruns though
