Awesome Dalmatianjaws, I am going out there in August. i bought plane tickets for Aug 1st to Aug 8th, and have a car rented. I am visiting my cousin, he lives in L.A. too. I am moving out there summer 2011. I have been looking at some film schools and programs. Do you have any recommendations to some cheap ones? Hey also checkout my friend's band. They are out of L.A. They are getting big. Their name is Nico Vega. They are great, I'll be hanging with them as well. Not sure what type of music you are into but let me know what you think.

Dude that's awesome, I'd heard about these guys but never listened to their stuff. They're really good. That second video is very well shot, I dig it.

The best school out here for film is USC, hands down. Spielberg and Lucas have thrown a ton of money at it. Very hard to get into though. UCLA is also a good school, and if you've been out here for a year you qualify as a resident and it's pretty damn cheap. Other big school is AFI, also hard to get into I'd imagine.

There are a lot of smaller community colleges out here that offer basic film classes, but they're obviously not at the same lever. Other decent schools include Azusa Pacific and Loyola Marymount, though I'm not sure how good their film programs are.

Dude, let me know when you're here and we'll hook up for some late night trashy horror movie and do a 2 o'clock Critics for it! That would be awesome!
