Pensioners packing heat. Penned by the world's greatest living comic book writer.* Eat it with your eyes!

It's a little more light-hearted in tone that you may have expected considering the subject matter - retired CIA agents are hunted down - which could just as easily have been a Bourne clone. Then again, Date Night and Knight and Day are already doing the light-hearted espionage thing this year...And to a lesser extent, Salt, which looks hard to take seriously. What do you think? I'd buy a ticket even if it was just a competition to see who could pull the most hilarious face. Oh, wait...

Never read him.  DN, knowing my comic likes (Y: The Last Man, Locke and Key, Watchmen, Scud the Disposable Assassin) what would you recommend starting with?

Like for like based on your mood: Planetary and his run on The Authority (make sure it's the issues he wrote) you'll probably really, really like based on you enjoying Watchmen. Fell I'm about to read and based on you liking Locke & Key I'd expect you'd be interested in that too (although I haven't read Locke & Key, I'm basing that on what I assume it's like). Nextwave based on you liking Scud. Transmetropolitan based on you liking Y: The Last Man.

Thanks for narrowing that down,  Roll Eyes

Locke and Key is fucking awesome. A gothic high school fairy tale. Love the hell out of it, as you could probably tell by how many http://www.redfenceproject.com/blog2/textpattern/article/376/graphic-novel-review-locke-key-head-games[/left]]times I've written about it ...

I'll check out this dude's stuff when I can. I'm in dire need of good new comics. I've heard Buddy Season 8 peters out and don't have the cash to start buying The Walking Dead.

If I had to recommend just one, then Planetary.
