Can't wait for the 2012 list. Early prediction: we all act like dancing monkeys and put 'BATMANBATMANBATMANZOMFGBESTMOVIEEVA' at number one, regardless of what's actually happening on the production.
I'd put it on my list now if I could. Can I use my nerd authority to tell everyone to stop anticipating X-Men: First Class?

I know someone on the production. They're about to start shooting and Jane Goldman hasn't finished writing the script.

Yeah, last time Vaughn was all 'I don't want to take part in a rushed production' now it's 'I don't want to take part in a rushed production, unless you pay me my money in barrels, because I made Kick-Ass'.
The casting has already tipped us off to the fact that it's an X-Men bastardization. I predict major suck.

Isn't 10 pounds like 900 american dollars? Them's high stakes.
See what I did there? Again with those kinds of jokes.
Also: for sure under 50%. Wolverine is at 37% overall and 15% for top critics!

I don't actually think it'll necessarily be a critical failure, Vaughn still has a lot of love from Kick-Ass left over, but I just think that it'll be so disgustingly divergent from the source that I'll hate it more than anything. And that it will feel as rushed as it is. And hey, Brett Ratner made an X-Men movie over 50% on RT. Don't tell me that didn't suck.

X-Men 3 was only slightly worse than the other two, not nearly as shitty as folks say. Yes, it had that juggernaught line and a shity last battle ... but it also had AWESOME character turns.
Trust me, the love is over!

X-Men 3 is an awful film, DJaws. Truly, truly awful. Moreso from the point of view of someone who is familiar with the characters because it completely craps all over every single one of them. It's dire.

The endings of the first (what happens to a toad when it's struck by lightning?) and second film (quick, let's abandon all the cool scenes at the school and spout exposition by a lake while our boss stares down a retarded kid!) are absolute shit, as is the third one (quick, let's use our powers to change day into night for no reason!) ... except for the fucking awesome Wolverine/Phoenix kill.
I'd say the flaws are about equal, when it's all said and done, except the first two had MUCH better camera work. On a story level they're about on par, hate to break it to you.

I think the 1st was the best. I love that Kelsey Grammer was an excellent choice for Beast in the 3rd though. -T.ROSS

All the casting was good. It was also all Matthew Vaughn's.
And I can't believe I'm the lone voice of sanity here. X2 is infinitely better than The Last Stand.

No I agree with you 100%, X-Men 3 was crappy. Plus the more I think about it, I might even think the 2nd is better than the first.

Oh don't get me wrong, the shot composition and editing are CONSUMMATE in the first two X-Men movies.
But what that opening scene doesn't reveal is what happens when Nightcrawler speaks. *shudder*
