AintitCoolNews has gotten their hands on master poster artist Drew Struzan’s awesome old school Comic-Con exclusive poster for Frank Darabont’s (The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile) small screen adaptation of The Walking Dead. I hope I can pick this baby up at Comic-Con. Hit the jump to see the image in full. The AMC Television series stars Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually), Jon Bernthal (The Pacific), Sarah Wayne Callies (Prison Break), Laurie Holden (The Mist), and Emma Bell (Law & Order). The show follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, traveling in search of a safe and secure home after a zombie apocalypse.

Looks strong.
That's a British actor in the lead.

All my expectations fell through the floor. It looks like every zombie thing done before. They even stole the 28 Days Later opening gimmick, which was stolen from Day of the Triffids.
Acting seems cliche and trite. Dialog too.
Fuck, I was so excited for this to be a classy, realistic, deeply human drama ... with zombies. Turns out it's just another direct to DVD zombie movie stretched out over ten hours. Joy.
Worst line: "They said on the news some kinda virus."
Second worst line: "My wife and son, they're alive."
Bored now.

New pics AMC has released five brand new images from their highly anticipated horror series The Walking Dead, which premiers September 30th. These new photos feature the zombies in action, as well as actor Andrew Lincoln as Rick Grimes. The series will follow Officer Grimes as he leads survivors to a safe haven during a zombie apocalypse.

It really does look and sound like every other zombie movie out there, but maybe we're just being shown the typical trailer footage and inside will actually be a great piece of TV.

I've read the first three graphic novels and I've lost all of my interest.

I saw the first episode and i really enjoyed it, true its nothing ground breaking if its a film but this is TV and i was really impressed. On a side not the lead guy is Andrew Lincoln, who was in a British show called Teachers and was actually cast as the lead in my mates feature Eliminate: Archie Cookson until he got the lead in Walking Dead and pulled out.

He absolutely should've but i guess the pull of a potentially big show helped him lose his integrity the git.
