Scorsese, De Niro, Pacino AND Pesci In For 'The Irishman'?!

After a few years of toiling over I Heard You Paint Houses, the mob drama that Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro have been working on together based on the exploits of mob hitman Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran as chronicled in the book I Heard You Paint Houses, Paramount Pictures may have hit the goldmine.

According to Deadline, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are now also circling the project that would reunite De Niro and Scorsese for the first time in 15 years. De Niro last worked with Pesci on 2006's The Good Shepherd, while Pacino last worked with him in 2008's Righteous Kill.

Steve Zaillian wrote the script for the anticipated mobster tale that could be Marty's next gig after Hugo Cabret 3D, the GK Films adaptation of the beloved novel. Other potential follow ups to Cabret include a Frank Sinatra biopic and a remake of the foreign thriller Cache, both of which could star the filmmaker's current muse Leonardo DiCaprio.

This is the director to do a De Niro/Pacino team up. I just hope whatever role Joe Pesci's playing it involves him getting angry. Sounds great.
