First trailer for 'The Tourist'

The first trailer for Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie's upcoming film 'The Tourist' has just been released by Sony Pictures. Set in the beautiful city of Venice, the film revolves around Frank (Depp), an American tourist visiting Italy to mend a broken heart. Elise (Jolie) is an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path in order to mislead all those following her former lover. Frank pursues a potential romance but soon finds himself the pursued as he and Elise are caught in a whirlwind of intrigue and danger. Here's the trailer.

The film seems somewhat of a departure for Depp from his recent acting roles, we have grown accustomed to him doing crazy character parts. Also, another observation, although I ignored missed 'Knight and Day' earlier this year, from what I saw in the trailer this looks as though it is of the same ilk.
'The Tourist' is directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, the German filmmaker whose first film 'The Lives of Others' won the Oscar for best foreign language film. It will hit cinemas on December 10th of this year.

Trailer doesn't sell me, but I'm easily pleased by espionage flicks, so I'll definitely check it out. Hoping for a Duplicity-level movie. I'm kinda angry Anthony Zimmer isn't available on LoveFilm. It's failing me too much with unavailable movies!!!
