Since his mind-blowing performance in Bronson, Tom Hardy has been rising and rising towards the upper echelons of superstardom. First he stole the show in Inception, then he was cast as Mad Max in the upcoming remake and now, it has just been confirmed, he is set to be re-united with Chris Nolan in his highly anticipated 3rd Batman movie. It is surely news that will please fans of the series. I am a strong believer that Hardy has the potential to become one of the greatest actors of his generation. Something about him reminds me of Marlon Brando.
Hardy’s role in the film has not yet been stated, but the assumption is that he will be playing a villain of some sort. So that leads us onto the seemingly eternal debate of which character will be the villain in the next Batman. I’m no expert but I think Hardy would make an excellent ‘Bag O’Bones’ or maybe even ‘Gentleman Ghost’.
