The world's most bankable actress and the world's most bankable director on the same project? That smells like a recipe for success. Wait a second, recipes don't smell...
Anyhow, the producer of David Fincher's almost true almost gritty The Social Network and the Coen Bros' upcoming gritty untrue Western True Grit is making a movie based on the life of the famous Egyptian monarch. The project is a vehicle for Angelina Jolie, and Sony Pictures is looking into what it would take to get the director of Aliens and Terminator and some movie about blue cats in space on board. This likely involves a PowerPoint presentation with ClipArt wheelbarrows full of cash followed by trucks full of cash being directed towards Cameron's house. And then maybe ocean liners full of cash.
It'd be in 3D. Obviously.
How do you feel about that combination of director and talent? Is a historical epic something you can picture Cameron at the helm of?
