I don't know, all I know is I'm crying with this joke. It's the funniest thing I've seen all year.

Master Chief is jealous and is messing with women who look too young for him. This is a video that simply would never have existed were it not for the creation of the internet and we are grateful for that.

It's Bale's EXTREME change in facial expression at 0:12 that had me.

Kermode is so wrong 50% of the time. Why moan about 3D when everything screens in 2D too? 3D is a necessary stepping stone to more exciting technology. I hope cinemagoing evolves. I want to see holographic Star Wars in my living room before I die.

It doesn't though. Voyage of the Dawn Treader was only showing in 3D at Odeon Wimbledon. And it was post-converted, screen dimming, absolute crap 3D. And they charge like £14 a ticket or something. It's outrageous.

You're both right. And since I'm writing this post, you're also both wrong.
I'm also drunk.
Question: If I fly over to England and all the Movie Morons went out to dinner and a movie, would we be bored, have a great time, or get in a fist fight.
If you want I'll retype this in 3D

You're both right.
I don't mean to come off as anti-3D. When it's a universal standard and autostereoscopic you won't be hearing any complaints from me. I just don't like bad or redundant 3D, which 90% of it is. I've seen a bunch of movies in 3D, one of which was good, to of which were okay, the remainder of which ruined the experience of seeing something in a cinema because I was thinking 'I wish I was watching this at home on DVD'.

The best 3D I've seen is in theme park rides.
As for movies, the best I can say about 3D is "It didn't take away from the story" which is both a compliment and a critique. As near as I can tell it doesn't add enough to the experience. I thought UP looked swell in 3D, but I've also seen it in 2D and the experience was exactlt the same on a large screen either way. It sucks you in to the story more than a small TV screen can.

How To Train Your Dragon had the best 3D I've seen. It was actually good, immersive even in the non-action scenes, like looking through a window. They just played with depth really nicel, there's one shot where the kid is just walking out of the back of his out up a hill and I remember thinking 'wow'. If you missed it in 3D, you missed out.
DJaws' evaluation of the 3D in UP is pretty much how I feel about it, non-intrusive but unnecessary. I feel obliged to say Avatar, the good 3D was one of the few things the movie had going for it, and I just saw Tron Legacy which did a pretty good job with it.
