Darren Aronofsky REALLY IS doing X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2 - Wolverine Rises. Except for it's being called The Wolverine. No number, not a sequel in 'any conventional sense', and it's a Darren Aronofsky movie...  Continuity-wise things are bound to get INCREDIBLY muddled though. What with X-Men: First Class on track to be a complete mess and Fox stubbornly refusing to wait the better part of a decade and reboot properly like they probably should.

Oh, and Green Hornet's getting good preview scores. Like, really, really good.

Continuity went out the moment they recast Sabertooth so radically.

Surprised to hear Green Hornet's scoring well. Like, really surprised. Almost sounds suspect to me.

So excited about Aronofsky's Wolvie, though I was more excited about the prospect of him tackling Robocop.

If he gets his way he'll probably make an awesome Wolverine prequel that doesn't give a shit about the bad movies around it. I hope so.

Gonna see Black Swan tomorrow. Pumped.

This is pretty much what I'm expecting, and the fact that he has a relationship with Hugh Jackman is obviously the atalyst for this all going down, but I wish he started his own Marvel franchise (like Dr Strange or something) rather than make an entry in somebody else's. It'll still be seen as an extension of Singer's X-Verse because of Jackman's involvement.

I agree I'd rather see Aranofsky starting another franchise. At least this has increased my interest in this movie x10.

Yeah, if you're gonna flog a dead horse, Aronofsky isn't a bad implement to do it with.

Don't get the Robocop appeal (maily because it's a remake), but I don't think that Wolverine is the only superhero/comic book flick we'll see Aronofsky make. He's been attached to too many in the past.

I thought he was gonna do a sequel cause he loved the original Robocop (which is still an awesome movie).

Just saw Black Swan: brilliant. This man is on a roll, what a talent!
