Transformers: Dark of the Moon - Trailer

Finally, the moment all real film fans have been awaiting, the first trailer for 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. Rejoice, more big fighting robots and explosions and product placement and annoying stereotype comic-relief characters. Watch the trailer here

Surprisingly it features none of the things I mentioned. Were it not a Transformers/Michael Bay movie, I would actually be interested in seeing the film having just watched this trailer.

The film's star Shia LaBeouf reckons that the third one is the best yet. Here's what the guy had to say.

"This is, and I'm not just BS-ing you, it's the best movie we've made of the three by far," Shia LaBeouf told MTV News recently. "The script is the best script we've had. The second movie, we were in the middle of a writers' strike, writing on the go," he explained. "The first movie, we had the discovery, and this movie really is the fruition of the rhythm we've created out of five years working together. I'm super proud of this movie."

Considering the piss-poor standard the first 2 set, that's not such an amazing feat.

The first two are garbage and I hold no hope for this one, but I have to say, that trailer was a blast.

You liked that trailer? The whole idea is so redundant, the Transformers have already been introduced. So what if they found another one with a beard? 40 years earlier, wee whizz bang so what.

Please keep in mind I've only seen the first one and forced myself to forget most of it. I just think it's a strong trailer. If it wasn't a transformer and just some new alien I'd be all over this movie

I liked Transformers and enjoyed some parts of Transformers 2, despite it being a very poor film. That trailer wasn't bad, and even though I'm coming at it a little differently from you guys I can agree that if it were for a different movie I'd be more excited.

This could be decent, I think. But then maybe I just have lower standards than everyone else when it comes to big budget giant chameleon robot from outer space movies.
