We recently had the good fortune of seeing the trailer for the much anticipated new adaptation of classic spy novel Tinker, Tailor Soldier, Spy. The trailer was a slick, brooding affair and now we get to see the poster, which follows in the trailer's footsteps:

That's a pretty great poster. Gary Oldman's character, Smiley, is clearly the most prominent figure, which is a little surprising considering the size of the ensemble.
Oldman is MI6 handler George Smiley (a role previously played on television by the legendary Alec Guinness), in this ’70s-set espionage saga, which has been adapted from the classic spy novel by John le Carré. And the period setting explains Hardy’s shaggy dog of a wig, plopped atop the Dark Knight Rises star’s skull as he takes on the role of Ricki Tarr, an agent who learns of a Russian mole causing all manner of naughtiness within the British intelligence system. Cue cat ‘n’ mouse shenanigans as Tarr and Smiley race to figure out the identity of the sell-out.
The movie comes to us from Tomas Alfredson, the director of Let The Right One In, here's the trailer in case you missed it:
