The Director's Guild has made a big deal with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

The three-year deal apparently offers key advances in jurisdiction and payment for Internet programming and downloads.

These are the terms of the deal:

"Establishing DGA jurisdiction over programs produced for distribution on the Internet;

Boosting the residuals formula for paid Internet downloads (electronic sell-through) by double the current rate;

Establishing residual rates for ad-supported streaming and use of clips on the Internet."

"What does this have to do with the writer's strike?", you say? Well, it certainly is going to make it a hell of a lot easier for the two sides to come to some kind of agreement. Several insiders apparently see the DGA deal as a "template" for the Writer's and Screen Actor's Guild, meaning this could all be over in a matter of weeks.

Thank God - we can finally find out what happens next in Heroes.

In the meantime, check out this hot new show airing in just a few weeks:

Congrats you got your life back. Enjoy it. Find a wife before they call it off. That's what I'm doing.

LOL she's the one that's always asking me when something new is going to be on. Maybe she'll stop bothering me now Smiley
