Jessica Chastain joins Cruise for Horizons

Jessica Chastain, rising star of The Tree of Life, The Help and The Debt, is to star alongside Tom Cruise in Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski’s next sci-fi spectacle Horizons. Or, at least, right now it's called Horizons. Before that it was going by the name Oblivion which, as one-word titles go, sounds far more ominous and generally badass, no? Presumably ominous and badass is not what they're going for...

The movie takes place in Kosinski's post apocalyptic vision of the future where man no longer lives on the surface of the Earth. Cruise will play a man tasked with maintaining surface-level machines that combat aliens, and Chastain will play his love interest. There is still another female lead yet to be cast, that of the woman that Cruise encounters on the surface, that changes everything forever.
