Kitsch king Baz Luhrmann has gone and made a new adaptation of literary classic The Great Gatsby, and this is our first look at what's in store.

Luhrmann's made the (somewhat unusual) choice to release his version of The Great Gatsby in 3D, so we can expect the parties that take place in the book to be brought vividly to life. The rest of the story, revolving around Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his mild obsession with Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan) who happens to be married to the unfaithful Tom Buchanan (Joel Edgerton) as seen through the eyes of Daisy's cousin Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) presumably requires a little less THINGS POPPING OUT OF THE SCREEN AT YOU, so it'll be interesting to see if it was worth it.
One things for sure, the costuming looks incredible, I'm looking forward to hearing what
Clothes On Film have to say about the designs and I can't wait to see how everything comes together, it's a wonderful story and an amazing cast. The Great Gatsby is set to come out on Christmas Day 2012.
