WGA Signs Two Deals!

The WGA has struck its first deal!

This comes as a result of the WGA's new "divide and conquer" tactic - if large, powerful independent production companies agree the terms, it gives them more leverage to take on the major studios.

The two studios who have struck the deal are Lionsgate and Marvel Entertainment.

"Lionsgate is considered a leader in the industry and its signing an interim agreement again confirms that it is possible for writers to be compensated fairly and respectfully for their work and for companies to operate profitably," said WGA West prexy Patric M. Verrone and WGA East prexy Michael Winship.

This means that we will seeing production finally begin on Thor, Captain America, Ant-Man and The Avengers
