The trailer for Ben Affleck's political thriller Argo has hit the net, take a look:



Back behind the camera again after two critically successful efforts in Gone Baby Gone and The Town, Affleck has brought to the screen the true story of a group of people tasked with extracting US citizens from a turbulent Iran under the guise of a Hollywood production. The trailer doesn't really get good until Aerosmith kicks in and all the tension mounts - the little thirty second segment in the middle that sells the ZANY premise of the film makes it seem a little schizophrenic - but Argo does appear to be another potentially solid film from Affleck the director.

Fascinating Fact: Jack Kirby, co-creator of The Avengers alongside Stan Lee, was involved in the Argo operation. and will be played by Michael Parks (the Sheriff with the shades in Kill Bill).
