Director of The King's Speech, Tom Hooper, is bringing Victor Hugo's novel Les Miserables to the silver screen as a musical, after decades of enduring popularity as a stage production internationally. A prestigious follow-up for the prestigious filmmaker, and one sure to delight millions worldwide. We finally have a good look at a number of the cast members, take a look at Wolverine, Jor-El and Catwoman in lavish period costuming below!
Hugh Jackman leads the all-star cast as Jean Valjean, a sometime prisoner sometime businessman who struggles with the law. The cast are
providing their own vocal talents to the production, but not just recording them and miming on-set, ACTUALLY SINGING ON SET, take after take. Hopefully ensuring that their performances reflect those efforts. I think that's a pretty cool move, and hope that it can set a new standard for musicals, which have gained popularity but lost credibility in recent times. Thanks High School Musical.
