I'm glad I stayed 'til the end of the credits - that was an amazing Stallone impression.

Hey guys great review, some of the things I appreciated from it.

Mentioning the duplicity of the film where they presented an attempt to a peaceful solution to a conflict then Rambo basically converts the missionaries. Also the pyro tech explosions were amazing Stallone shot this film verrrrry well. I just wish there was more variations of action besides shooting. I was hoping for a chopper run, or a car chase, or something. That bomb in the middle of the jungle was just too convenient.

Agreed. We cut a lot out of the 2 o'clock Critic reviews for time constraints, but a lot of what I cut out of this one was talking about the violence vs. the message, and the fact that it was used more as political awareness rather than telling Rambo's story.

Now, I know that all of them are political. But, however simple, they also followed Rambo's decent into complete and total nihilism as he's abandoned again and again by the government that made him.

This film ignored all of that. Sure he says "fuck the world" but come on, one of the first scenes is him fishing and giving his catch to a small boy . . . mixed messages. I'd rather him not care at all at the beginning, and then the woman dies, and he goes ape-shit crazy and fucking obliterates everyone 80's action style. That would rock.

Then after you expect him to die of kill himself, you see the shot at the end. That would make a lot more sense. As it was, their version of character development was three words of bad dialog.

Sigh . . .

Still, the action was awesome.

My Stallone impression is world renowned . . . for often turning into Arnold in mid-sentence.
