Was sent it this morning -

Sound mix is worse than Bane's first sequence in The Dark Knight Rises. Add to that it seems a bit crap. Boring/cliched plot device - same as TWO of the Mission Impossible films.

Just the first one.

M:I - The NOC List
M:I-2 - The Chimera Virus
M:I-3 - The Rabbit's Foot
M:I-4 - Nuke Codes

Nothing especially great about that clip, but I'd hardly write it off, the teaser and Olympic spot are brilliant.

Isn't it mentioned as an early red herring in the fourth one, before they realise what they're after? Still, it's the plot of Mission: Impossible. Have seen it in other movies too.

Judy Dench as M has never been strong to me. Never sat right. I can imagine a female head of MI6, but just not her. The M in Living Daylights was spot on. Unfortunately it looks like they're building the whole plot round her character in this one.

Yeah, I would have much preferred Helen Mirren for Casino Royale, but it's sacrilegious to say so for some reason. If you can recall the other movies you've seen that plotline in I'd be interested to know. I'm a tad disappointed they're rehashing the M:I macguffin here, but I do love me some espionage shiz.

The script will suck. Mendes meets Action will ROCK (that fall from the train is downright beautiful)

But on topic, this is a horrible, horrible "trailer."  I can't hear what the dude is saying and the fast edits are so fast I can't tell what the fuck is going on.

I wouldn't have minded Dench as M if she hadn't already been in the Brosnan Bond, she just felt like a hangover from everything that was bad about Brosnans final outing

I don't even remember what she does in Die Another Day. I do remember a Korean having plastic surgery to look like an English gent. Whoever wrote that film was high. Beyond terrible.

Agreed mate, people harp on about Moore's stint as 007 but after a good start, Brosnan's films took Bond to an even worse place because at least with Rogers efforts there was a knowing wink and a nod and tongues firmly in cheeks but Brosnan's era seemed to be playing it straight regardless of all the invisible cars and face morphing Korean's on show.

I find that all the more insulting.

Die Another Day had a few good scenes in the first half (the swordfight was cool), but in the second half stuff like this started happening, a lot:

Die Another Day is the weirdest movie ever. Half of it is basically atrocious self-parody and unintentionally funny, but it is CRAMMED with ideas that would make for a cool Bond movie.
