Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson's newest effort
Fool's Gold took in an estimated 22m this weekend, finally ending Hannah Montana's tyranny at the box office. Trailing just behind was Martin Lawrence's
Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins (17m) which, thankfully, has been garnering better reviews than
Big Momma's House 2.
This weekend also saw the opening of
Vince Vaughn's Wild West Comedy Show: 30 Days & 30 Nights - From Hollywood to the Heartland (i.e. longest title ever) which earned a shallow $527 dollars per theater for a total of $507,000. The action-comedy
In Bruges earned a respectable $471,000 despite only playing in 28 theaters. A reward is being offered for anyone who has a clue what the movie is about after seeing the trailer.
And lastly, Paris Hilton's
The Hottie and the Nottie crashed into 46th place with an estimated $25,000 in sales. Perhaps she'll get the hint.
