RIP Roy Scheider (November 10, 1932 – February 10, 2008)

With a heavy heart, I am sad to report the death of another cinematic great. Roy Scheider (75) has passed away due to consistent illnesses associated with multiple myeloma - an affliction that he had been suffering from over the past few years. He is survived by his three children, two from current widow Brenda Seimer and one from a previous marriage to Cynthia Bebout.

I, like most of you reading this, will remember Scheider best for playing Chief Brody in Jaws and being such a badass at the end when he blows that bastard fish out of the water. One last time. "Smile you son of a bitch!".

We'll miss you, Roy.

I remember him as the captain from Sea Quest and the American guy from 2010.
