Well if you're anything like me, you'll have much fiendish love for Neil Marshall's
The Descent, which was a great example of how well we Brits can do a good old fashioned scare flick. Initially it didn't do massive business at the box office but it quickly gained cult status and made a ton on DVD so there was always going to be talk of a sequel.
'The De2cent' as it's currently known and please lose the '2' that got old so quickly will be written by James Watkins and directed by Jon Harris who's stepped out from the dark dank hole that Editors occupy.
The story picks up right after the end of the first film where a team of rescuers find Shauna Macdonald's character of Sarah

and then take her back into the caves to see if they can find any of her missing friends.
I honestly don't mind sequels if they take the concept in a different direction but when they're essentially a rehash of the first film and offer nothing new then its just about bleeding the good will of the cinema-going public dry and honestly, this really isn't flicking any switches for me at the moment.
