I never thought I'd see a trailer blazing the legend 'From The Writer And Director Of Forgetting Sarah Marshall' without a naked arse in it, but that's what we can expect when Jason Segel and Nick Stoller roll out the barrell on their new Muppet movie.
Featuring approximately 1000% more Muppets than
the forthcoming Jim Henson biopic, the new film is reported to feature our favourite foam buddies putting on a show to save a theatre from evil oil magnates.
As Statler and Waldorf (the hecklers in the balcony, pub quiz fans) might say, It's Topical! It's by a self-confessed Muppet nerd! It - well, it might not suck.
Thinking about it logically: though he might be spreading himself a little thin these days, the most outstanding comedies in the past few years have come from Judd Apatow's well-stocked barn of talent. And though Forgetting Sarah Marshall has yet to prove itself, the idea of a new Muppet film from a team who have a genuine excitement for the franchise is probably worth getting worked up about, Kermie.
