I have been a a fan of Iron Man for years and this movie was fantastic.  I am buying it.  I may even see it at the theater a couple more times.

I knew nothing about Iron Man going into the movie, and I still thought the movie was pretty darn good.  While it didn't top Batman Begins as far as comic movies goes for me, it certainly was one of the best in years and I highly recommend it to anyone in the mood.  And yeah, Robert Downy Jr. kinda dominated the movie.  The great news is that even if the movie sucked, it at least had a Dark Knight trailer in front of it.

Yeah, the thing that amazed me about this movie is how little Iron Man, as in the guy in red and gold armour, was actually in it. 10 minutes. Out of 2 hours.

Thank God the drama was great.

Samuel L.'s cameo was unintentionally hilarious. Bad casting.

After striving for 'realism' why then have a scene where Stark plummits from the sky in a metal suit hard into the desert only to be completely unhurt, with his legs sticking in the sand like a cartoon.

Jeff Bridges was fantastic. Whole principle cast was on top form. Except the guy from SHIELD who looked like a nervous extra.

Rarely, very rarely, does a studio make a great film based on a comic book or a video game. Well, this time, they succeeded! Iron man is a kick ass film. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

1) In movies like these, you have to suspend reality for a couple of hours. True, someone falling from the sky like that should have died, but what about
a) building an exo skeleton from parts of a missile and metal is unbelievable
b) they were being watched by the terrorists around the clock which any right-minded wacko would realize that they weren't even building a missile. Kinda obvious
c) That stark could perfect flight in a couple of days. Where is the power source?Huh
d) that the bad guys could reverse engineer the Ironman Suit in 3 days and make a working copy of it
e) that the government couldn't have done the same damn thing
f) that stan lee in his cameo appearance had 2 beautiful women around him (he should have had 6)
g) that all throughout the film, I was thinking to myself: "Damn, this guy is a dead ringer for young Al Pacino"
They could make another godfather film using him.

But seriously, when you go to the movies, you have to suspend reality for a couple of hours, relax, and enjoy the movie!

It's true, he does look a bit Pacino-esque.
