Fox Searchlight has released the first poster for the upcoming film adaptation of author Chuck Palahniuk's
Choke. The film is about a sex addict con-man (Sam Rockwell) who pays for his ailing mother's (played by Anjelica Huston) hospital bills by bilking money out of the people who "save" him from choking to death.
I've got high hopes for the film, only the second of the author's books to make it to the big screen, and the film has some strong buzz behind it after taking home a Special Jury Prize from Sundance this year. I'm digging the poster and it's snazzy, jazzy design, though I'm sure it's purely a coincidence that it boasts a color scheme (and the bizarre conceptual theme of tiny ladies stuck in people's mouths) similar to "Snuff," Palahniuk's newest novel, which was released in stores on Tuesday.
