If you're awesome enough or geeky enough to float around the Movie-Moron forum, you heard it
here first-ish.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has made its way into the Urban Dictionary, but not cause of quality.
The term "Nuke the Fridge" has been
added, referring to the third most idiotic moment in Indy history when our hero, whip, fedora and all, climbs into a refrigerator to survive a ground zero atomic explosion (first and second place go to Shia's Tarzan scene and the entire spaceship sequence, respectively).
On a grander scale, the phrase means the exact moment when a film franchise bastardizes itself and crosses over into self parody, a moment that has been referred to for years in the television world as "Jumping the Shark" which dates back to the infamous moment in
Happy Days when the Fonz rides his motorcycle over a shark tank.
