Ridley Scott's work continues to pile up. Whether this is a good or bad thing, eh, depends. The latest info on his next project (that is, after
Nottingham) is that he will be returning to sci-fi. The movie is to be an adaptation of a book Scott reports he has waited twenty years for. I guess it's only fitting he wait, given we've had to wait twenty-plus years for the definitive version of
Blade Runner.
Rumors circulating around suggest that the film is to be an adaptation of the Huxley classic B
rave New World. While not the first time the novel has been adapted to the screen, surely this would be the most ambitious with a name like Scott attached to it.
If true, the next question becomes casting. Just who do we want to be having orgy-porgies...
