Ridley Scott's work continues to pile up.  Whether this is a good or bad thing, eh, depends.  The latest info on his next project (that is, after Nottingham) is that he will be returning to sci-fi.  The movie is to be an adaptation of a book Scott reports he has waited twenty years for.  I guess it's only fitting he wait, given we've had to wait twenty-plus years for the definitive version of Blade Runner.

Rumors circulating around suggest that the film is to be an adaptation of the Huxley classic Brave New World.  While not the first time the novel has been adapted to the screen, surely this would be the most ambitious with a name like Scott attached to it.

If true, the next question becomes casting.  Just who do we want to be having orgy-porgies...

Yeah, he has yet to top his work on Alien and Blade Runner.  I don't think he's been bad necessarily since, but it'll be nice to see him return to the genre that really let him shine.
