With the promotional wagon rolling nicely along for Neil Marshall's homage to Escape from New York and Mad Max...

Doomsday,

...now seems as good a time as any to spill the beans on what he'll be tackling next and that will be Sacrilege, a film which, in Marshalls own words "Is set during the Gold Rush, a time remembered for incidents like the Donner Party, It is meant to be a pitch-black, gritty, period horror movie."

Once he's finished knocking back the bubbly and eating caviar of the bodies of nubile twenty-somethings(maybe) he will be hitting the keyboard to get the script ship-shaped enough to direct from for his Doomsday cohorts Rogue Pictures.

Yes it does reek of Ravenous at the mo but he assures us that it will be something that hasn't been done before i horror, so i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt at this reaaaaaaally early stage.

He is also attached to DRIVE: “Drive” for Universal Pictures. Drive is an adaptation of a James Sallis novel. Hugh Jackman is attached to play a Hollywood stunt driver who moonlights as a getaway car driver in heists. His world is given a jolt when a contract is put out on his life. Universal is aiming at getting this film rolling into actual on set production this summer.
