Not since The Godfather and Heat have we had a Pacino De Niro team up, but here it is friends!! Coming September of 2008 the two aged bad asses of New York team up once again for.....you guessed it a NYC cop drama!
So exciting.... well as much as I love both De Niro and Pacino isn't this movie just a couple of years late? I love to see senior citizens fighting crime on the streets of NY as much as the next teenage girl but I do have a confession to make, it would have been much more appealing if they had not released this poster. Maybe then I could have forgotten they (mostly pacino) are scary looking old men, and remembered the days when Al could get a picture taken and not look like a straight up skeleton...

Moving on from these frightening thoughts, here is basically from what I can find a brief plot summary.
Detectives Fisk and Cowan two 30 year partners of the great NYPD are called upon to investigate.........A MURDER. But wait theres more! The murder of the pimp they are investigating is similar to a case they had and solved (probably many) years ago because of a similar poem found at both scenes justifying the kill. So we have a possible poet serial killer with a conscience taking the law into his own hands by removing criminals(?) off the streets permanently. Now the question burning at their deteriorating skulls is: DID THEY PUT THE WRONG MAN BEHIND BARS ALL THOSE MANY YEARS AGO?
(if you ask me of course they did.....unless its a copycat murder :0!)

Since the cast is promising, really just Al and Robert, this movie will probably have a fair amount of success. As to how good it will be I'd predict it to be no masterpiece but it will likely be pretty entertaining and likable.
I just thought i'd thrill all the fans of great acting, 50 Cent will be in it, prepare yourselves for a tour de force. For all those who felt the same way as I did watching Get Rich or Die Tryn' im sorry to remind you of it.

With the recent track record for these guys, I don't expect much. Sounds like 88 minutes and Showtime, rolled into one.
