I'm not sure if it's breaking pre-sale records just yet, but the current record holder for opening weekend is Spider-Man 3 ... and that was no problem getting into opening night.

Already in the Los Angeles area, The Dark Knight is selling out THREE WEEKS before opening weekend. In fact, I just bought my tickets for the Arclight in Hollywood, and there was only ONE SHOWTIME available for the first TWO DAYS. And that was after looking at three other theaters.

This is shaping up to shatter all expectations - the studios are going to let Christopher Nolan do whatever he wants after July 18th.

I'm getting my tickets this weekend.  I am seriously worried about the midnight showings already being sold out.  But odds are I'm gonna be seeing it during Saturday instead of opening night.  I'm also trying to find some IMAX tickets.  Only problem being the IMAX theaters are a bit of a distance, and I'm sort of without car...

Sounds like you'll be renting Batman And Robin instead.

I think I'd rather find an incredibly high bridge to plummet off.  And hey, if I can't find any tickets, my backup plan is to go to the theater in my Joker costume (which is almost finished, giving it a dry run this Friday) and claim I'm with Warner Bros. PR campaign.  Yeah, I'm sure the theater attendants will never see through that.

You might be asked to perform for the crowd.

Dude Tyler, are you stateside and a west-coaster? Cause I'd consider kicking someone outta our group if I can get you there in costume! Holy crap! At the very least you need to take a camera and film yourself and post it on the forum for us!

Yeah, I'm in Portland Oregon.  I'm totally borrowing a camera and taking pictures of my costume.
