Christian Bale turned himself willingly in to London police after charges of beating his mother and sister in a London hotel. Bale cut a deal with authorities to voluntarily surrender the following morning so he could attend the London premiere of his new film The Dark Knight.  This is shocking news, coming on the heels of the wild success of his latest film and the fact that most Hollywood gossip sources list him as one of the nicest guys working in Hollywood. Let's hope we don't hear similar news about Hugh Jackman, pictured below fighing with his wife:  Hopefully this whole thing is a misunderstanding and that we don't overdose on irony, given the entire point of The Dark Knight is Batman's struggle with internal conflict and violence. Pictures win. It's odd I was listening to the radio yesterday here in the UK and wondering why on earth Christian Bale sounded so moody doing interviews on the red carpet. Now we know.
Also, bail for Bale.
Did Lt. James Gordon have a crack at them first?

Yeah, I was so excited about being first, hit POST, and immediately saw the earlier article. Dammit.
Poor guy, sounds like he's got some major issues, really hope he sorts them out. I guess he was free to go on lack of evidence or something.

Verbal assault? I guess this is good, considering that Christian Bale were assaulting someone in any other way than verbally, they'd probably be dead.

TMZ - "We're told Bale pushed his mom out of the way during the altercation. She was not hurt and did not fall down. There's a division of opinion on whether the contact was a "push" or a "brush." It seems what was hurt most during the confrontation were feelings ... "

What's amazing is that the mother and sister didn't drop the charges, they wanted to take it all the way. From the word on the street, it was a light shove of his mother. What a cow.

This is the same mother who when he was just a kid told him he could only have one parent and made him choose. He chose his father, then they moved out to LA, and both father and son become highly successful.
