The Descent 2 - Behind the Scenes video + casting news

With only a couple more weeks till the wrap party, now seems as good a time as any to start the marketing campaign for Director Jon Harris' first shot at helming The Descent 2.

I was expecting some artwork, maybe a teaser trailer but no, we get this (possible spoilers):



Strange. I mean i'm al for a behind the scenes video showing some good makeup and set design etc bu if the stories are to be believed this has a pretty major spoiler in it.

The news that the sequel picks up where the lame American version ended should fill any gorehond with dread especially as the entire cast from the first film have also been involved.
I haven't had any hopes for this from the day it was announced but this really isn't looking good.

Yeah, big spoilers, but no one watching BBC News is going to care.

I have zero hope for this film by the way. I thought the bat people were rubbish the first time round. Jobbing actors painted white and hissing - no thanks. The great section of the first film was the very atmospheric section before they turned up.

I liked the first film but wasnt a huge fan, but I will watch the 2nd one and give it a chance, hopefully there will be more action and gore!

I have a feeling this will get the direct to DVD treatment.  The first one was really good, but I don't think it made that much of a splash when it came out.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought it had "tanked" at least over here in the states.  Then again, it's a cheap horror film, so it's not like the budget was much to make up.
