Doohan's Ashes Fail to Make Orbit
Over the weekend a SpaceX rocket that was carrying ashes from the late James Doohan failed to reach orbit. This was not the first attempt at this for the Doohan family or SpaceX and there is likely to be another try to send the original Scotty into the final frontier.

I really have no idea which way this movie is going to go. I thought MI3 was over-rated (someone please tell JJ that Mission Impossible was never a boring love story), and whenever Simon Pegg tries to play anyone who isn't himself it's a disaster (see the movie called 'Big Nothing').

Hope it's great. Would be nice to see this back as a regular franchise.

I thought Big Nothing was flawed but deeply brilliant! Seriously, that screenplay was full of surprizes!

In JJ's defense, neither of the first Mission Impossible flicks were ANYTHING like the show, and he had the guts to completely ignore the second installment and build on the character laid out in Brian DePalma's version, which was pretty cool.

I don't know what to make of Trek either. I'm actually a huge fan of the movies and TNG, really quite underrated. But his attempts to make it full of cool action and a lot sexier seem doomed to failure.

The end of MI:3 where Ethan Hunt's dull girlfriend shows her 'independence' and 'strength' by killing the villain herself... sigh (rolls eyes)

honestly, if we ever meet we should just line up our DVD collections and chuck them at each other's faces. First to bleed buys the other a beer. Or two.

Or three.
