Teaser Posters For J.J. Abrams' STAR TREK

Below you are the teaser posters for the upcoming STAR TREK "do over" (under such working titles as STAR TREK XI and STAR TREK ZERO) which made their first appearance at this year's Comic-Con.  The characters featured are Chris Pine (SMOKIN' ACES, the in-production KILLING PABLO) as "Captain Kirk", Eric Bana (HULK, MUNICH and the meat to the Scarlett Johannson/Natalie Portman sandwich in THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL), Zachary Quinto (NBC's HEROES) and Zoe Saldana (James Cameron's upcoming AVATAR).  The film was written by Robert Orci & Alex Kurtzman (TRANSFORMERS . . . Wait, somebody "wrote" that?!) and directed by J.J. Abrams (ABC's LOST and ALIAS, CLOVERFIELD).

















These last two pics have pretty much nothing to do with the upcoming STAR TREK but hot chicks (especially ones into the dress-up thing) seem to make everything just a little better.

The new Kirk was easily the best thing in Smokin' Aces if anyone's seen it. Generally he is quite Brad Pitt-like, in that there is a bit of substance to him and he's willing to laugh at himself in the same way. I hope he works out in this.

I first saw Chris Pine in that stupid Lindsay Lohan film featuring of all things "an appearance by McFly" and was indifferent. HOWEVER, having seen him in Smokin Aces, I had no idea it was the same guy because he was excellent in that film. I'm not a trekkie (although I used to love Voyager) but I'm confident Pine will be good in this film.
