Take a look at this man; is his face scary enough to freak you out? If the rumours are to be believed, then Billy Bob Thornton could be the next Freddy Krueger in the remake of Nightmare on Elm Street.
Nothing has been officially confirmed at this point, but the Oscar winner was rattled out by original Freddy, Robert Englund on a radio show, when he let slip that Thornton may be up for the part as far as Englund had heard. Englund also stated that he was happy for 1984 movie to be remade on a bigger budget, but whether Englund expected to be asked back to reprise the role is unknown.
Even Nightmare On Elm Street director Wes Craven has commented that he has not heard anything new regarding the remake. But if the rumours turn out to be true, it will definitely be interesting to see Billy Bob prancing about in Krueger's crusty face.
